A rural child in one of China's poorest provinces
works hard at his studies while the opportunity is there. He is
fortunate as his education is supported by The Amity Foundation's Back
to School Project where sponsors pay school costs for children whose
families would otherwise be unable to do so. Conditions are poor and
resources are few but this little boy and his family understand the
importance of an education if he is to have any hope of escaping the
poverty trap. For millions of other rural children an education is a
luxury they will never be able to afford.
The ever increasing wealth gap between the city and
rural areas is only adding to this problem so please pray for:
1. Organisations like The Amity Foundation which run
projects to help poor children obtain an education.
2. That sponsors will continue to come forward to
support this Project.
3. That the media reports all aspects of life in
China, not just the staggering economic growth.
4. The Chinese Government as it seeks to redress the
economic imbalances which hundreds of millions to a life of poverty.
