Ministers / vicars / priests who wish to take individual modules to assist
their work
What does
the Course offer?

Recognised training for work with communities and Community Development Work

In-service training for qualified workers

A
Diploma, BA or MA in Contextual Theology from the University of Manchester.

You will develop your

Reflect on practice and learn from successes and mistakes

Christian faith to community development work

Take
the full diploma (3-4 years)

selected subjects for a year (with the option of adding others at a later
date)

further modules towards a degree
What
happens on the course?
Your experience is
important. The course recognises this. You are encouraged to learn by
doing and reflecting. This is true of the theological subjects as well as to
community work.
Your main tasks will be:

Work
on placement in the local community

Reflecting and learning from that experience
-
Attending taught courses and submitting work for assessment

Relating your classroom learning, your placement or work experience and your
personal faith to each other
Prices have
not yet been fixed for 2004-2005, but in 2003-2004 individual half modules
