prayinghandsDo you know children and young people who enjoy creative writing? Do they like thinking about the world around them and what God is doing in it? If so, would they be able to write some prayers which could be considered for inclusion in the United Reformed Church’s prayer handbook?

The prayer handbook in an annual publication and each prayer in it focuses on specific Bible verses from the lectionary, presenting readers with a way to think and pray about the insights, principles, values and lessons which Scripture can give us. There is a general theme for the 2019 Handbook, 'Seasons of the Spirit', to inspire you. Writers are also particularly encouraged to reflect on the different words of praise and lament in the Psalms which feature in the 2019 lectionary readings.
