We are planning to improve the church details page, pages like Altrincham URC (Trinity Hale). How could the page be improved?
We're considering:
  • Displaying the map of the church location
  • Allowing the addition of multiple church images
Do you have any suggestions (particularly if you have used the update your church details feature to update your own church details)?

As a new user of your site, may I suggest that you include the times of service and show the churches website (if they have one).

Showing the map would be a good idea if you could be sure that the map was correct. I had a look at the map for our church and it shows the church as several streets away from its true location. That would be no help at all.

Bob, thanks for the suggestion. Churches currently have space for a free-form listing of service times. We will consider recording this in a more structured way.

Ray, as Google can't find your postcode, your church is displayed at the centre of IG8. IG8 1NY can't be found on the Post Office site either, so I would start with ensuring the Post Office have you correctly listed, and this should filter down eventually.

As a new user of the site and new in general I would like the church details to include:
Congregation size and mix (i.e. young -> old etc), if sunday school is taught, is their live music (i.e. a band/organ/piano), what kind of hymns are sung, what are the churches aims or goals and how it plans to achieve them and paragraph on activities or a brief description on how the building is used.
Many thanks
Phill

Phill - I've added your comments to the Update your details page as suggestions for those updating their church page.

Thanks for that. You are right the post code for our church is incorrect. I have found out the correct one from the post office now and updated our web page accordingly. So infact the web page and map have sorted a problem that I would not have known about without it. THANKS
