£15,000 for cyclone relief

The Myanmar flood relief appeal, launched by the United Reformed Church, has raised £14,925 in donations from local congregations and individuals. By channelling the money directly to the URC’s partner church, the Presbyterian Church of Myanmar, via the Council for World Mission, the money has gone straight to where it is most needed. It has been used to buy essential items such as food, clothing and medical supplies. The cyclone three months ago devastated parts of Myanmar (Burma), killing thousands and leaving many more homeless. Many still fear for the future, with rising prices and destroyed livelihoods and communities. It is still possible to make a donation,  by sending a cheque made payable to the United Reformed Church, indicating that the money is for Myanmar Flood Relief.

The address is United Reformed Church, World Church Relations office, 86 Tavistock Place London WC1H  9RT.
