The 500th anniversary of the birth of the theologian, John Calvin, is on Friday 10 July. Calvin was a key figure in the Reformation, in which the United Reformed Church has its roots. The July edition of Reform magazine carries an article on Calvin by URC minister and hymnwriter Alan Gaunt, plus the words of a new hymn which Alan Gaunt has written for Calvin’s 500 years.
