Jim’s shot of ‘violence’ wins award

One of the winning photographs in a competition organised by the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies was submitted by Jim Bulley, aged 19, a United Reformed Church member.
 
The competition asked for visual answers to the question ‘What is Crime?’ Jim’s submission, pictured, was of Israel’s wall, dividing communities; it won the ‘Violence’ category.  Winning entries appeared in ‘The Independent’ and will feature in an exhibition organised by the Centre.

Jim is a journalist and photographer, studying at the University of York. He is a member of the management group of Pilots, a non-uniformed Christian organisation for children and young people of the United Reformed Church, the Congregational Federation, and other denominations. He is a member of the United Reformed Church at Basingstoke, in Hampshire. 

The exhibition ‘What is Crime?’ will be at the 198 Gallery, 198 Railton Road, Brixton, London SE24 0JT from 9 July until 28 August.
