The URC archive is now available and open to the public. The collection contains the records of the national United Reformed Church from its foundation in 1972. The archive is housed alongside the records of the Congregational Church in England and Wales in the Congregational Library, part of Dr William’s Library in Gordon Square, in central London.

Jenny Delves, pictured, the URC’s and archivist and records manager, says: “The collection documents the URC’s activities in many areas – from international relations to youth work, from housing to ministry – and also includes the records of Assembly committees, photos of URC events, audio recordings of General Assembly, resources produced by the URC and correspondence.”

The archive is open to the public by appointment only. Please contact the library in advance of your visit on 020 7387 3727 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

The new archive page on the URC website gives access to the archive catalogue and to information on the locations of local and regional URC records and other collections relating to the URC.  Click here for link to archive page
