The Windermere Centre has announced that Between the Covers – its first online course, which begins next week on 21 May – is now available at just half of the original price. And, for those who are not sure if the online learning model will work for them, the centre is offering learners the opportunity to try the first session for free!

Between the Covers is an exploration of the contents of the Bible led by the Centre’s director, Lawrence Moore, and is divided into 12 one-hour long “webinars” (online seminars) – with six sessions focused on the Old Testament and six on the New Testament. Each session will balance input from Lawrence with time for group discussion and will run twice each week – on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings – allowing flexibility for participants. All that’s needed is a computer, headphones or a speaker, and a broadband internet connection.

Lawrence Moore says: “This course gives you the chance to discover what’s behind the cover of the Bible from the comfort of your own home … bringing the teaching and mission resources of the Windermere Centre to you.”

Rebecca Gudgeon, the Centre’s marketing manager, adds: “Since we began promoting this course, we’ve heard several people say that, while they’d be interested in doing the course, it was just too expensive for them. We’ve taken this on board and are now offering the whole course at only half of the original price – that means you’ll pay just £60 for the full 12 sessions, or £35 for either of the Old or New Testament sections.”

To find out more about the course, or to book your place for the first session, visit the Windermere website, call Rebecca (015394 44902) or email her ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). And don’t delay: The course begins next week!
