seeks to appoint an

Assembly Coordinator for a Pastoral Response Team Pool

Volunteer/ Non-stipendiary /home based

Part time (15 hours per month), until July 2013)

 

We are looking for a committed individual who is interested in assisting the Church to respond in a pastorally sensitive and effective way in serious incidences of alleged ministerial sexual misconduct.  The Coordinator will ensure the training of a Pastoral Response Team pool in order to provide Synod and Assembly Moderators with a Pastoral Response Team to advise and arrange support for the alleged victims, perpetrators and congregations directly impacted by incidences of alleged ministerial sexual misconduct or abuse.

 

To be considered candidates should demonstrate:

 

  • knowledge or willingness to be trained in the dynamics of ministerial sexual misconduct and the policies and procedures of the United Reformed Church;

  • sound interpersonal skills in working with volunteers and others

  • sound administrative and organisational abilities;

  • initiative and able to work independently; and

  • sufficient IT skills to maintain a database
