Secretary for Ministries

 

Secretary for Ministries - REF: SM 2 (Minister’s stipend – 5 year termed appointment)

 

We are looking for a URC Minister who can bring both vision and wisdom to this role. The Secretary for Ministries heads up the Ministries Office of the United Reformed Church which has responsibility for all aspects of the provision and care of Ministers, Church Related Community Workers and Assembly Accredited Lay Preachers.

 

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following criteria:

  • possess a theological qualification up to degree level or equivalent;

  • be ordained into the ministry of the United Reformed Church;

  • have an in depth understanding of the ministerial candidating process;

  • be self-motivated, highly organised and a competent administrator;

  • able to respond enthusiastically and effectively to change whilst working collaboratively with colleagues;

  • able to think strategically and reflect theologically; and

  • be willing to train on ministerial processes and issues to a wide selection of people.
