I laughed over my Sunday lunch reading this hilariously funny Revised Edition of Nick Page’s contemporary presentation of the Bible. The Scroll published every Sabbath is like today’s tabloids but a lot funnier! From the Garden of Eden (Would you Adam and Eve it? Scandal as couple evicted from the Garden.) to the Ten Commandments (Oi! Is that my donkey you are coveting? What do you think should have been included?). From the Nativity (a Stable Relationship: baby born in a cowshed. Housing Shortage blamed) to Saul’s Conversion (Chaos on Damascus Road: did aliens cause multi-chariot pile-up?). Three children were with us for lunch. Rachel aged 14 said: It’s a really cool way of explaining well known stories. Sarah aged 11 said: It’s in a language you can understand. I especially love the adverts and letters. Philip aged 7 said: It made me laugh a lot. Proverbs says: Laughter is good medicine.
