Vocations Sunday 2010

This year the materials have been produced by members of the Eastern Synod and, in order to link more closely with our ecumenical partners, are based on the Lectionary readings for Sunday 25th April 2010, which is the date when Vocations Sunday will be marked by the Methodist, Anglican and Roman Catholic churches. 

The material has been produced to help those who lead worship encourage all within the church to explore their calling and is therefore not just aimed at those who might be a potential candidate for the ministry of Word and Sacraments or Church Related Community Work, though we trust it will speak clearly to them.

The usual packs containing worship resources, sermon resources and other material which may be helpful, are available as pdf files on the right hand side of this page.  They are also available in paper format on request from the Ministries Office at 86 Tavistock Place.

This includes a poster available in a number of sizes. (It is a relatively simple matter to cut off the strip at the bottom of the poster which links it specifically to Vocations Sunday if the image was was wanted for use on another occasion).

The same image has been produced in postcard and creditcard sizes, and as a bookmark, all of which are available in two formats.  There is also a version of the image, including a background slide for use in creating a powerpoint presentation.

All of these materials, as well pdf versions of the largest sized posters, are available on request from the Ministries Office on a CD.
